As much as it pains me to say it, I think i’ve made a mistake with the look of the Luxe
Its definitely not a ‘miss-step’ either, as seems to have become the fashion amongst politicians and executives of large corporations
No, I screwed up, it’s a good old fashion mistake, an error, I got it wrong, a balls-up; anything but a euphemistic and ambiguous ‘miss-step’
The good news is rather than fudging it and telling you it’s marvellous we’re going to change it & get it right
The black powder coat finish needs to be continued right around under the drip tray – as it stands the boiler housing at the rear looks like a black box standing apart from the rest of the machine, like an espresso machine my 3 year old might make from 2 cereal boxes stuck together
If we can’t do this we will revert to a mirror polished stainless steel boiler housing on the Luxe
We will continue with the black powder coat finish inside the boiler housing – this works well, providing contrast with the highly reflective surfaces of the copper boiler and pipework
