Hi Reiss,
Just letting you know that my machine arrived pretty much undamaged after its trip from the UK with your 2nd gen packaging (top of the group removed). The only minor bit of damage was to the drip tray where there is a slight dent in it, possibly from the group handles or the group. It’s right on the centre long edge of one side, but it is not even worth worrying about. DHL from the UK was quick, unfortunately it then hit Australian Customs and then pretty much halted for six days, before taking another six days to finally get to Townsville last week. Since I was overseas at the time, I was unable to pick up the machine until today.
Let me just say this, the flavour definition from this machine is fantastic, I’ve never known such clarity and definition before. I used to own a Giotto before I really got the lever bug, which led to me getting a Ponte Vecchio Lusso, which was the only machine which suited my needs at the time. It produced a great cup of coffee, just as good as the Giotto. But comparing them to a Londinium I is pointless.
This machine though is in another league.
It really bough back to life some Yirgacheffe from my local roaster that is beyond it’s best in terms of flavour. Unbelievable. It’ll be very interesting to see what my home roasted coffee will be like, I may have to change my profiles alot to get the best out of the coffee with this machine.
This is a fantastic machine at an amazing price, and I hope you continue to sell a lot more of them. You and your build partners at Fracino should be very proud of this machine.
Cheers,
Karl
