Getting some early runs on the board was always going to be the key tothe success of this project, and having just passed the 50 mark i can say withrelief that we are now out of the danger zone. If aproduct can’t quickly establish a beach head in the marketplace itwill have a slow and painful path to success at best, and the likelihood offailure goes up exponentially
I apologise if the scrapping i have engaged in on the coffee forums aroundthe globe has been rather unseemly, but in my view you can not afford to take abackward step or go quiet in the interests of politeness in those criticalfirst few weeks of a product’s launch
Those with a vested interest in trying to hold out a new entrant to themarket also know this
The customers who believe in the product will buy it regardless, thecurious but not serious will use the bolshiness as an excuse to walk away, andeven if the competition label me as an obnoxious anti-social prickthey will also understand that we believe in LONDINIUM I withsuch conviction that we consider ruffling a few feathers to be a priceworth paying
In short, we really believe that LONDINIUM I is twiceas good and half the price
