ok, so its almost 2016 and this film was released in 2007, so im trundling along a little late but a friend gave me a copy of this some time ago and today i was cleaning up and thought i had better sit down and watch it
im very pleased i did, and if you are not familiar with it i highly recommend it, assuming you are interested in films that are a little unconventional
i have a huge amount of respect for people like this who have the courage and belief to embark on projects like this completely against the general direction of the tide. people like this make the break throughs by challenging the established products and systems of the mutlinationals who ideally want no change, or if you insist incremental change such that they have time to adapt their capital assets
if you are interested in watching something fresh, original and relevant i recommend this film and im a long way from being a left wing eco-warrior. i simply think these issues are going to grow in prominence and relevance. our generation faced the threat of nuclear holocaust. for our children i think the macro issue will be learning how to undo the damage wrought on the planet by manmade products such as insecticides that we can now see are wiping out bees and threatening the process of pollenation and the massive loss of diversity in food production
there are many unknowns, but one thing is certain; it is going to be interesting
