today i purchased a set of these scales online from Rocket Coffee who are based in Hamilton, New Zealand
i look forward to reporting on them
if they do what they say they do i will be very pleased
my primary reason for purchase is to have a timer integrated into the scales
the other thing that im hoping for, but it may or may not be present, is a long duration before it does the auto power off trick – is there anything more infuriating than scales that power off whilst you are part way through your coffee making process, and almost all of them do
at a minimum i would like to see the ability to turn the auto power off mode ‘off’, in an ideal world the auto power off duration would be user configurable, but i realise that all these things cost
and ive just watched the instruction tutorial and answered my own question. great. superb. it has 4 settings for the auto power off. 0 seconds (i.e. auto power off disabled) 60s, 120s, and 180s. how cool is that? yet i have never seen it on any other scales i have owned
