A picture is worth a thousand words, and this image clearly illustrates the shortcomings of the ‘T’ Allen key that I purchased – the thickness of the orange insulation results in the key not being able to be driven squarely in the head of the machine screw – this is far from ideal, especially when fitting & tightening a screw
Secondly, the fat comfortable ‘T’ handle makes it all too easy to over-tighten the screws in the soft brass casting, resulting in stripping the thread and an expensive repair on your hands
So having had time to ponder it over, i think the basic ‘L’ shaped hex key that we provide with the LONDINIUM I is in fact the best choice. It forces you to go slowly, and with a bit of luck, discourages you from over-tightening the screws
