We now have a freight aggregator in place which allows us to access better freight rates
This is step one, step two being to integrate the freight aggregator into our website with an API which is part of what we will deliver with our forthcoming upgrade to our website. This will mean order data will flow seamlessly to our freight aggregator with no need to manually re-key the data
In the meantime we willl just run with a manual process
So in the interim if you order coffee you will be charged a freight rate as if we were still shipping out of the UK
Obviously we are now shipping out of Auckland, New Zealand but i am willing to stand by these rates as a work around for the next month or so. In practice that means that customers in the UK will only pay a UK domestic rate if they order coffee and I will foot the bill for sending it to you from New Zealand. Customers in Europe would also pay a rate of freight as if it was being sent from the UK and I will foot the bill for the extra to send it from New Zealand.
Of course this development is still no use to potential customers in Australia or New Zealand as they would be paying over the odds for freight, as if it was being sent from the UK. Don’t worry, in a month or so we will have a separate rate table for items despatched out of Auckland, primarily coffee, and we will square up our coffee prices so it all washes out and fully automated to boot
