Roasting for espresso: the elephant in the room

the same roast tastes different on different espresso machine, and grinder, setups

that is a big issue because it means you can only keep some of the people happy some of the time

notwithstanding, we will be moving to roast coffees that taste at their best on LI/II/III

in essence this machine has made us aware that our roasts need a bit more vim!

we will keep some of our old favourites, but for the best part we will need to embark on a whole new buying process for our green coffee

rather than have a single taste signature approach, as we have taken to date, we are probably going to have to develop roasts that are more differentiated from one another so our roasts appeal to a broader range of palates
