this is where i think a lot of businesses miss a trick. i took a mazzer mini electronic to set-up at a cafe this week, opened the box, and discovered that changes had been made to the product. fortunately they are for the better, but it places you a risk of looking like a complete clown in front of the customer. note to espresso machine equipment manufacturers; please improve your customer communications!
what is the change? the control panel on the Mazzer Mini electronic is now the same as the Mazzer Robur electronic, which makes sense and makes you wonder what took so long
what is the effect of the change? until now you have had to use a screw driver to adjust the electronic timer for the single & double shot presets. the change means you change the timer using the control panel – simply hold down the ‘Menu’ button for 3 seconds, then press either the single or double shot button, then press the ‘+’ or ‘-‘ button to adjust the timer. you no longer need to have a small flat head screwdriver to hand, which I’m sure you’ll agree represents progress
