so, the good news is that having discussed the need to obtain more information from the manufacturer in order to provide you with some visibility of how orders are proceeding, i woke up to the following update:
Hi Reiss,
The new line is now in which has allowed me to move the next build before yours onto it. Your line will be clear by tue/wed of this week to allow your production to begin a few days earlier than planned. I would expect to start shipping daily, week commencing 05/06/17
Kind Regards
as you can see the bad news is we have slipped considerably from the original commencement date which was originally set down for the beginning of last week/end of the week before that
unfortunately that slippage was the result of the need to install the third production line, which as you can see from the production manager’s email (above) is now installed and has machines being built upon it
as you can also read from the email above, the build of the current batch is about to start
it is also clear that for reasons i dont entirely understand yet that it is taking a lot longer for a batch to complete than it did for the old L1, which was 5 working days – i think this is a reflection of bottlenecks and associated backlogs in the testing area
anyway, that is the latest information and most complete veiw that i have
kind regards
reiss.
