LONDINIUM I, Luxe edition – first images

Finally all the key components have arrived

We will have the solid wood knobs and handles on Monday

Comments about the pattern of the slots on the grill of the drip tray haven’t gone unheeded, we just haven’t had a chance to review it yet

Our thinking behind exposing the internals is two fold

First, it shows off the quality of the craftsmanship

Secondly, most people who prefer lever espresso machines generally have some kind of appreciation of mechanical things

We think the hard chromed lever group is the mechanical equivalent of the Mona Lisa, to the extent that it warranted exposing more of the mechanical beauty in other areas of the machine

If you have a single strand of engineer in your DNA, LONDINIUM I Luxe has been crafted especially for you

To the best of our knowledge, nothing else comes close

Not in performance, consistency, ease of use, appearance, reliability, or ease of maintenance

Oh, and best of all – no faffing about with heating or cooling flushes every time you come to make a shot. It’s always at the correct temperature. Load the portfilter, and pull the shot. We’ve got little patience with machines that you have to engage in some contrived multi-step ritual to get a decent espresso out of it, let alone two in a row

It’s special, and we’ll be taking orders for the first production run next week
