L1 – we will hold every part in stock

a few people have asked if we intend to hold parts in stock – the answer is yes

in fact we also expected to be holding machines in stock by now but we can’t build them fast enough

so as customers ask for various bits we will order a box which will arrive with us the next working day and from that point on we will have that item in stock

keep in mind this is a very simple machine – there simply isn’t much to break or fail

a set of seals every 3 or 4 years, which you don’t even have to buy from us as a number of machines use this group

if you go for the plumbed in machine there really is so little to fail it is hard to imagine you needing anything other than a seal kit every 3 or 4 years

in a domestic setting the sirai pressure stat may last longer than you do – it is straight from a commercial machine

about the only way you can stuff an L1 is to let limescale in, but then this is true for anything that has a boiler

if you live in an area with a water hardness of less than about 80mg/L you don’t need to soften your water and you won’t incur any limescale deposits in your boiler

you may still wish to put an inline carbon filter in as this traps a lot of elements that may taint your coffee, in particular chlorine
