Espresso roasts for DeLonghi bean to cup machines

You will have worked out by now that we are trying to narrow and deepen our focus; to do less, better

So in streamlining our equipment offering we can spend more time focusing on roasting coffee; not just any roasting, but dedicated to espresso roasts

Then we want to take it a step further. We want to develop roasts specifically for the DeLonghi bean to cup espresso machines

For example, the espresso from a bean to cup machine tends to be a bit thin, to lack body and mouthfeel

We will respond to this by developing some roasts specifically for DeLonghi bean to cup machines, and unsurprisingly the first step will be to add a little fine robusta, which surprisingly is harder to buy than fine arabica but it does exist. Not too much, 6-8% I expect

Then I think we will head for arabicas that have more body, like a Sumatran coffee, for example

We might add a little bit of something bright & sparkly to give it a bit of interest, but lets see how things develop

This won’t be something that we bring to a conclusion in the next week or two, but rather something that will bubble along in the background

The rest of the roasts will then be optimised for the Londinium lever machine range, hopefully with some roasts that give a great espresso on both machines

By focusing on less, we can do an even better job of focusing on our core business; roasting coffee for espresso drinkers
