Don’t buy a LONDINIUM espresso machine if…

… you think you are buying a piece of Cartier jewellery – the clue is in the title – it is a ‘machine’ using a commercial group and designed to provide years of service in a commercial environment

what sort of things are we talking about?

here is a good example, the shoulder of the lever group rubbing on the saddle of the lever, resulting in the chrome being worn away in an arc and the brass appearing

the image shown is of our Bosco demonstrator machine taken shortly after we purchased it to illustrate the issue

the purpose of using this image is not to bash Bosco, but rather to show that this is an issue that affects this group, rather than being specific to the LONDINIUM machines – we receive these groups fully assembled from the manufacturer of the group, just like all other espresso machine manufacturers who use this group, and simple bolt them on to the chassis. We do not assemble them

if you elect to buy a GBP10,000 2 group Idrocompresso you have exactly the same probability of experience this very same issue

i would implore anyone who finds this issue to be unacceptable not to even consider purchasing one of our machines – please just walk on – you will be happier and so will we

i trust this doesnt come across as flippant or arrogant but you must be absolutely clear about what you are purchasing – it is a machine to make exceptional espresso, it is not a piece of jewellery
