As a result of moving everything to DHL we are pleased to announce a fall in the cost of delivery of up to 10Kg from GBP6.39 plus VAT (not applicable on coffee orders) to GBP5.97 plus VAT
The old rate for up to 5Kg was GBP6.18 plus VAT, so we are pleased to offer a reduction in the shipping cost on the vast majority of our orders
We no longer offer Royal Mail rates for orders weighing less than a kilo for the simple reason that I am completely over trundling down to the post office since we started way back in 2004 – the cost of my time is just too valuable and we don’t have enough orders using this service to justify getting a Royal Mail collection service to our premises
I know these changes will mean a cost saving for the vast majority of our customers, but not all, but we have to keep making changes to the business that improve our efficiency. The move to exclusive use of DHL will generate massive efficiencies for us in terms of a reduction in administrative complexities
Additionally you can expect to see massively reduced charges for Europe and much greater granularity of weight bands. The service will also be an exponential improvement on what we have offered to date. I have not yet updated the rate table for European destinations, but will try to do so as time permits
