another great use for Loxeal No.4 silicone grease with PTFE

about the only downside with the Loxeal No.4 silicone grease with PTFE that we sell is that the smallest size we can procure it in is 100g

this is a bit of a pain as it is more than the immediate needs of most people

but today my mother had my father & i address all the squeaking doors in the house and we had the idea to try using the Loxeal No.4 silicone grease with PTFE, as it is clear and therefore there is less risk of marking the surrounding painted surfaces than there is with a dark coloured grease

so we removed one hinge pin at a time, cleaned it, then wiped a tiny amount of Loxeal grease on the pin, then smeared it all over the pin with our fingers, then replaced the pin

the results are exceptionally good, so we proceeded to address all the other squeaky doors with loxeal too

the doors now swing excpetionally freely with the most gentle of touches

so if you are struggling to think how you might get through the 100g tube, ive just helped you out with another application for which the loxeal does an exceptional job – ime sure there are others

if youve already got some loxeal & some squeaky hinges then give it a try – my father was particularly impressed, and thats not something that happens everyday 😉
