Two year parts warranty

Having completed the product development phase of our product set we are pleased to announce that we are extending our warranty from 12 months to 24 months, for any country that your londinium may be in; 93 and counting so far

This will be enacted retrospectively so it will apply to all models of londinium espresso machine purchased on or after 1 January 2026

We now have service data stretching back to 2012 for our machines and whilst some customers have certainly had some warranty issues on receiving their londinium in the past, once those issues have been resolved those same machines go on to give years of trouble free service

As is standard for espresso machine warranties it excludes damage arising from using water that is either too soft (for example pure reverse osmosis water, distilled water, etc) which becomes acidic at heat and pressure and will slowly dissolve your boiler from the inside, or too hard (where the total of the scaling compounds, typically calcium carbonate and the magnesium carbonate, exceeds 80ppm)

At the same time we are introducing a consultation fee of GBP50 an hour for machines that require diagnosing beyond the 24 month warranty period. We wont be charging in 6 minute units like a law firm; the GBP50 will give you a very generous hour and i would only envisage exceptional cases, for example, someone has a machine in bits and has no idea how it fits back together, where any additional amount would be charged. We will use a live video call to deliver our expertise

We are introducing this fee to address the situation where people are not first making use of the extensive resources we have made available in the knowledge base and in our experience these people are usually not the original purchaser of the machine. If the answer to your issue is not in the knowledge base, then fair enough, it is on us to produce a video to address your particular situation at our cost, but these instances are now rare

If you are only interested in drinking dark oily traditional roasts then the only londinium model that was specifically developed for that kind of roast is the LONDINIUM I (2012-16). My suggestion is you pick up one of those machines second hand, give it a descale if necessary, and you will have exactly what you want. In the words of Frank at Titus Coffee Grinders we “really knocked it out of the park with that machine”. That machine will run for decades. The worst that might happen is the Gicar might eventually go pop as the heating element connects directly to it, but we are able to provide a replacement and you are back in business
