What are we working on today?

today we’ve come perilously close to compromising our standards and opting for a lesser cup than Ancap

but we’ve not slid down the slippery slope of mediocrity. instead i think we will order the Ancap Palermo competition cup (150mL) and we are going to use it for double duty. it is a size and shape that works well as an espresso cup as it allows the all important aromas that make up the taste to circulate inside the cup, similar to a red wine glass, and it is the perfect volume for flat white as it prevents too much milk being added and the taste of the coffee diluted to the point where it becomes a coffee flavoured milkshake, which is what happens with the 200mL Verona Ancap cups that we have used in the past

we will hold the stock in Birmingham as porcelain is heavy and relatively expensive to transport, therefore it is the most cost effective location for us to despatch from. we may hold a small number in Auckland for our Australasian customer base, but that will be in the name of customer service rather than a commercially viable proposition
